Sean Kennevan


The director of the Seneca Boys Basketball Camps & the Seneca Youth Summer Basketball League is Sean Kennevan, Burlington County’s 2008 South Jersey’s Coach of the Year. Coach Kennevan has been involved in coaching both boys and girls basketball for the past 20 years. He was an assistant girls varsity coach at Mason High School in Mason, Ohio when the team was ranked #1 in the nation and went on to win the Division 1 Ohio Girls Basketball Championship in 2000. In 2012, he led the Seneca Girls Varsity Team to their first Group III Sectional Championship in school history. In addition, he led them to four Olympic Conference Championships in six years. He resides in Shamong with his four children Johnny, Grace, Luke & Caroline and his wife Tina.

Coach Kennevan took over as the Seneca Boys Varsity coach in 2017. In his second year as the Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach he led the Seneca Boys team to the Group III Sectional Finals for the first time in school history. His team also set the school record for the most wins in Seneca Boys Basketball History, winning 17 games in 2018 The team was also ranked in the Courier Post Top 15, Philadelphia Enquirer Top 20 and in Top 15, all for the first time in school history. The 2018 Seneca Boys Basketball Team won 3 consecutive home playoff games which was another first in school history. The 2018 Seneca Boys Basketball season was an exciting and successful season but perhaps most importantly it put Seneca on the map in South Jersey as a competitive and successful program.
